Inb4 lock #2
If there is already a thread I don't understand why this hasn't been implemented by now. It's such a basic feature and half of it already exists.
1- configure scheduled updates and set it as the default update method
2- initiate downloads for your new games
3- pause your downloads
4- secret sauce: restart the Steam client to clear the paused download status
5- your new games should now be queued as scheduled updates with "Update Required" status
I'm guessing all the people in these scheduled download threads want essentially the same thing I do: new downloads getting treated as regular updates without having to jump through hoops... change "scheduled updates" to "scheduled downloads" to make all downloads and updates scheduled unless either the game's download/update preference is set to ASAP or the download/update is started manually from the download list.
OMG! You're a God! I'm definitely going to build you a shrine and worship you for the rest of my gamer life! Which one do you prefer for your new-awesome-god-statue: Topaz or Marble?
