Add non-steam programs under "tools" instead of "games"
With the move of tools to the main list of games, it would be nice if we could add programs and put them under tools, instead of games. Having two catagories for tools doesn't look very good

EDIT: I mean add an option for it to be a tool instead of a game, maybe under the shortcut properties?

Steam can't tell a non-steam game from a non-steam program though.

True, however steam could give an option to sort it as a game or as a tool. Whether the option is in the context menu next to "add non-steam game", or if the option is under properties for the shortcut. Of course steam can't tell on it's own, but it could ask the user

EDIT: perhaps I should have said something about it being an option isntead of steam amgically knowing, I can see the confusion

I would like to be able to add software or tools to Steam and have them catagorized as such as well. Seems like a nifty feature.
