The real way to combat cheaters in modern gaming.

There's a really simple solution to stopping cheaters, that companies just don't seem to use. that's HWID/IP bans. Yes, I know some people can spoof their IP, but doing it to a HWID is a bit harder and usually involves voiding any warranty your system has. It's also really hard to do for modern cheaters, since they're breastfed on a touch screen device.

Also, why don't people queued with a cheater get punished. A couple wins removed from their total isn't much of a punishment. People playing with a cheater should be punished as equally to the cheater, regardless of whether they knew or not. This way, not only does it prevent players from getting boosted by cheaters, it also makes them consider the types of players they queue together with.

Except the adapters literally have built in aim assist which you keep ignoring for some strange reason....

Sony does not consider mouse and keyboard adapters cheating. They even had their own adapter.

As someone who plays MP on a PS5, I can say that I have not seen anything that makes me suspect someone is cheating, and not once have I seen anyone in the game(s) accuse someone of cheating.

I hate to break it you but there are multiple forms of cheats that can all do the same thing. Never claimed everyone cheats the exact same way by using the adapter. Just liked people committing armed robbery don't have to use the same weapon to commit the same crime....

Fortunately the developers of the games have confirmed there are people who indeed cheat. So what you have or haven't seen isn't relevant. I've never seen lightning strike someone before, but i'm confident based on reports that it has indeed happened before.

Sadly you had made the claim that there were no cheats and threw it all into one pot, not myself. So now you are backtracking and trying to claim that there are indeed cheats, but not cheats you would find on PC while ignoring that aimbot comes in many forms. AImbots are a very real issue on consoles, they just use hardware instead of software to bypass many of the protections on the console. Again, the most basic search would reveal it

I wish it was easier for companies to take direct actions against the people who create cheats for their games. If they could actually do that I feel like it'd send an actual message about understanding what your getting into before you attempt to do it.

But cheating will forever be a thing, no matter how good they get at combating it sadly.

Yep, the issue is the makers of the cheats are located in countries where the laws are lax. It makes dealing with them far harder, although there is starting to be more progress in going after them on a company level.

The cheat makers are harder to find and they tend to be operating out of countries that provide legal haven
