I know, not a solution but at least it would work.
I appreciate that idea, I even thought about it but it seems to me from a "coding" standpoint Steam could implement something that just highlights somehow games that are in my library that are on sale. I've already purchased it so how does it hurt any sales numbers to let me know it's on sale even though I own it.
I just want Steam to help me share the sales.
If the plan is to get it for a friend or family member as a gift, have them put it on THEIR wishlist and have them contact you when it goes on sale.
