Well if thats the opinion you want to take despite easy to see evidence then clearly further discourse is pointless. So if you want to keep refuting facts then i'll just unsub.
Fortunately Valve knows how to run a business and they don't listen to a vocal minority that complain about non issues, so your options will be either get over the irrational anger over free points, or just learn to deal with it.
This thread did amuse me so i tossed you a jester as I enjoyed it. You can take it as an insult if you want even if that's not the intent.
God bless everyone and have a wonderful day!!
kid's will be kids
You can call the majority minority as long as you like, my friend, but that doesn't change the facts.
As you might know, facts don't care for your feelings, and people complaining about this issue for years ind hundreds of threads is more evidence than a bunch of guys pretending the Jester is a symbol of freedom and whatnot.
You remember when you guys talked about the nobleness of the Jester.
This was my favourite part of the whole thread.
They still give me Jesters wihtout any reason.
Ignore-myth debunked as well.
This is the second one just today, the same thing happened last week - all while we have a massive, active thread on the same topic, on the front page.
Edit: They merged the threads! Thanks, mods.
I'm seeing some kids here, as well. ;)
Some huge ones in XXL diapers.
Introspection isnt your thing, is it?
Aren't you the dude who used the 21.2 million users on Steam argument a few pages back?
Glad you're back. xD
What is it this time, buddy?
Just because a person doesn't want to display something, doesn't mean they think there is something wrong with it.
Ya, the point you so conveniently reinforced; that youre a tiny minority of a minority.
Still didnt answer the question though, troll. Youre literally begging for jesters...but woe is you, right? Your self worth has been damaged! LOL!
Hiding you playtime and inventory has nothing to do with hiding awards.
The playtime is a very private info. Many people hide their game list on Steam, because they feel bad for some of them games, like guiltypleasure games and stuff or they don't want their friends to know that they are playing while being invisible and stuff. This is another subject.
Hiding awards on the other hand, which according to some people in this thread wouldn't even be neccessary since all awards are positive, already shows, that the award-system is somehow controversial
Insulting other peole and calling them troll as soon as you run out of arguments isn't going to get you anywhere.
I don't know if you heard, but there is only a very small percentage of those 21 million people who are actually active on the forums.
Those statistics are just random and bland.
We need a survey to regulate this controversial subject
Calling other people troll is his shtick.
He's getting off it.
If they choose it to be.
Or personal preference, which is in many cases.
Still user preference to the privacy of their account and what details to show or not to show.
Not all users like "Look at me! Look what I have!" sort of profiles as well. Sometimes the best for peoples profiles is just their preferences, no other motives or thoughts behind it.
Don't think about it too much. User preferences are a thing; other people often want to know why someone doesn't display stuff on their profile on the forums, many simply reply with it's their preference.
