Move ingame overlay to Shift+F1 instead of Shift+Tab (since Uplay default is Shift+F2, and people can move Origin etc to F3-F4...
also prevents accidental opening which happens often in Shooters (Running with shift while checking scoreboard with Tab

This key combo also bugs out some games for me and I get stuck infinitely running or unable to sprint all together. You can change the key combo manually under Steam>Settings>In-Game. I changed my to Shift+F1 without any issues.

You can change the hotkey yourself in the Settings: Steam --> Settings --> In-Game --> Overlay shortcut keys.

Edit: VintageDC was quicker.

You can already change it to anything you want. I use the - (minus) key on the numapd.

Yes thanks, i knew. But i Mean the default. Suggestion for steam to claim the combo before another one takes it. I think Origin defaults to it already, but Steam should get the spot as #1, the others can take the other numbers

don't leave it to Epic to claim position 1 once they implement an ingame overlay

"Claim"? I think you might be confused on how all this works. Epic can use Shift+Tab if they want. No launcher has dibs on certain key combinations. And there's not competition to use Shift+Function keys, so your concern over who "gets" Shift+F1 is entirely in your mind, not in reality.

I think you're probably overestimating the problem across all users with your first post, and your 2nd and 3rd posts are just weird arguments trying to invoke shortcut FOMO. Which probably sound good to you, but seems silly to myself and probably a lot of people.
