I meant on Steam. I already know about Epic.
They don't. They've stated multiple times that their Digital Strore is operating on a severe loss. But that is not their main source of income. It is more like a customers-grab to lure them over into playing addictive and long-term expensive games such as Fortnite.
75% is always 75%
Sure on a $100 game 75% would be "saving" $75 but there is still $25 to pay. Is that cheap?
relatively cheap for most gamers that can afford a decent gaming computer that will actually run those recent AAA game being sold at 100$.
Anyway, there are sales throughout the year where even AAA games are 75%-80% off, and in many bigger sales you could use points to get a coupon.
Steam doesn't need to bribe Developers for Exclusivity.
Steam doesn't need to bribe users with free games.
Epic is trying to stay relevant other than Fortnite and Rocket League. Sure, I'll take some free games - but I'm not buying from Epic. A lot of people use Epic for that reason, which is not profitable unless people buy DLC or in game currency.
They're not a threat to Steam, and this conversation is nothing new and people try all the time, but Steam is not at all threatened by Epic.
Also - this is not a suggestion, so why is this even here?
Since it's not a suggestion, see this:

Every sale I see plenty games with a deep discount and I see games with a good price. Might not be the gamea you look at, OP, but they're there.
They don`t. They even pay developers. Epic will never kill Steam. In the long run, Epic will just lose.
steam always has sales.. in few days xmas sale for 2020 will be live.
im a pc gamer not a launcher gamer.
No. Learn how things work. Epic is trying to buy customers and developers in a bid to compete with Steam while still having a meh platform. If you like it so much go there.
Guess what? you dont have to leave one to use the other. In fact there is nothing stopping you from using all the launchers at once. "learn how things work" then says if you like it so much go there. lol
He's either very ignorant or being intentionally obtuse.
Looks at Steam's new concurrent users record from Cyberpunk's launch
Yep, Steam's really going down, time to change ship bois!
Perhaps not the games the OP wants or already have, but the higher % sales are still there.
If you bother to look.
