Add Webpay and Paypal To Chilean Peso Users.

I like the idea to buy games with my own coin. But now i cant buy games because the only way to buy with chilean peso is MasterCard and Visa. Cards that i dont have and i cant afford, and i can bet there are many chileans with the same issue.

In chile the most common Account bank is the "Cuenta Rut". We used it to buy dollars on a service called "Multicaja" to buy dollars in paypal, that means, to buy here on steam. Now that we can use chilean peso, we could buy directly with this coin with Cuenta rut by the Webpay service.

So the solution chileans want, is to Add Webpay Pay Method. And Paypal for those who assigned Dollars in their account to buy here.

Indeed... I'm Chilean too and I have the same problem.. dollars were my only method of payment and now... I can't buy anything. Thanks Steam for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ me.

now not only we must pay the Visa use/charge, we also gonna lose money with the new steam change

gonna buy again from third parties then... similar prices but in US dollars (G2A and humble bundle)

you cant use CuentaRut (CR from now on) to buy dollars directly on the steam store, thats a fact, the way to buy dollars with CR is buying them from local steam wallet resellers, the way to implement a payment method using CR (btw, thats a debit card, for almost every people on chile,in order to get it you just have to sign up at the bank) is using WebPay (heres the fun, is from the same guys who run transbank, the monopoly of debit/credit payment), there is a few examples on their web on how-to (implement, test, etc) also is a pain in the as* to get it work properly, you have to implement Servipag (actually the method who blizzard uses to pay in CLP, this create a voucher that you have to pay, on person or online) because their payment-API have already implemented webpay as a method of payment, so, nothing big to implement and relatively efficient, you can implement both for sure.

As much as I support you, this is a complicated one. Redcompra owns pretty much the entire chilean payment system, and WebPay charges an extra 6% for using it. The best we can aim/hope for is for Valve to reinstate PayPal.

besides webpay, Chile has another processors for cuenta rut and other Bank accounts
