Allow a key to activate the Play Button
If a key could be set to activate the Play Button then a game could be started from a controller without the need to use the mouse to start the game.

This is one reason Big Picture exists.

If you want to try something else, though, both JoyToKey and Xpadder are advanced game controller configuration tools, and each can be used to make the controller function as a mouse and keyboard.

I prefer the small desktop window. I have the right stick set as the mouse movement through Steam so I can move the pointer over the play button then double click the right trigger, but it would be much better to be able to scroll through my games with up/down on the D-Pad and then just press a button to launch it. This was how it worked on the old launcher but the move to the new one with the game art (which I really like) it got removed/forgotten.

Quite an easy addition to code, so was hoping someone would add it a some point.

In the grand scheme of things its really not that important but hey...

As stated this is specifically why big picture mode exists, for ease of use with controllers.
