Steam Skins

Will Valve add Steam Skins in the foreseeable future? The current one feels boring and barren.

customization options or just predefined steam client skins, i like the 2015 overlay much more

More customization options would always be nice.

Steam used to have support for fan-made skins but an overhaul update removed it. You can still do so with third party software like Millennium.

Will they add them? The client supported third party skins. That support was removed. I don't see them adding it back.

As they removed support for them, it is doubtful they would come back.

I'm up for more customization but I doubt they'll add it. Time'll tell though, thats how Valve rolls.

as far as i am concerned... i am tired of a minimum viable product.
i want my steam UI too be able to match my device or pc's UI and have that level of customisation as it can mean more income for steam.

look at wallpaper engine, look at the freedom it has and tell me what is the problem.
+20 years of development and steam is bland.. my windows keyboard has more freedom of expression.

Wallpaper engine and the Steam Client are two entirely seperate entities and Valve can freely have their client exactly as they require to be.

ok thanks for stating the obvious that they are separate entities...
now let me say i am the end user... if i want it to not look boring and bland.. then i want it to not look boring and bland.
how hard is that to understand.
