The CS2 steam forums has a bullying problem.
There are way too many times that if, speak back to the people harassing me, telling me I am bad at the game, have no skill, post lengthy posts that are off topic that are meant to derail discussions, I get banned.

I was literally banned for 30 days for telling someone after they told me I had a "no skill" that this was behavior that's only meant to put others down and is "sad and pathetic"

I got a 30 day ban for that.

Come on, this so unfair. I just want to rile the community to be more just and less passive when it comes to the amount of people who cheat and try to bully.

Can anyone look into this.

Yes, thats exactly my point. hes posting in the open discussion section, but refusing to have an open discussion.

doesn't look like discussion to me, all I see is a group of people arguing with the OP and belittling/insulting the person, posting the person's game stats, telling them they aren't good at the game and telling them they haven't played against cheaters, the same people who were arguing with the person in the game hub, who coincidentally showed up here... :lunar2020thinkingtiger:

though it's not surprising, I have seen this same stuff for years in many multiplayer games (even more so in shooters), with people denying cheating happening because "they never see any", despite anticheat devs and the game devs stating how bad the cheating is and the huge amounts of cheaters banned monthly, even some anticheat devs/game devs stating what regions the majority of cheating is coming from.

edit: and yes you can have cheaters in every match, it's nothing new, not unheard of and widely known, despite people claiming otherwise and pubg was one clear cut example of this and many others, more so in the games that allow making money off skins (pubg doesn't any more, last I seen).

anywho, I have some stuff to do, I'm out, have a nice day

It seems weird but that is how the rules are designed and enforced. "Speaking back" is 100% a no no and the easiest way to get banned. This is a feature of the system, not a bug and has been for years.

try a different approach. stop responding to them. block, move on, if they try to bypass the block, report them.

if they are breaking the rules in their posts, report the posts and let the moderators deal with them

it comes down to how they are speaking back. if they are throwing insults and profanities back at someone, they are the one breaking the rules. it does not matter why someone broke the rules, all that matters is the rules were broken

and OP, keep in mind that your post history is public. if someone is disagreeing with you, that is not bullying. didnt bother going to far into the post history.

if you feel the actions taken against the account were incorrect, you can appeal it.

if they are trolling, they move on when people stop responding to them. if you are responding, you are doing nothing more then feeding them.

if they are trying to derail a thread, you report the post for derailing, you dont have to call them out on it, let the mods deal with it.
The mods really seem to only target those with critical viewpoints, like myself.

I have been trying to get the community and developers aware how large scale cheating is happening in our game and it just feels like I am silenced, while this who gaslight, derail, harass, are allowed to stay.

It really feels corrupt in there.
you really think they are unaware of it? they may be more aware then you are about how large it is since they have access to far more data then anyone else here. combating cheating is not a simple click a button and all cheaters get banned. its an arms race, the dev's figure out how to detect one form of cheating, the cheaters find a new way to cheat and avoid detection for awhile.

Insults and profanities help but they are not the requirement or the cause. I have spent a lot of time examining the rules and getting a LOT of people banned. The rule is being argumentative. And talking back is argumentative by definition.

The schoolmarm style of enforcement focusing on specific aggression means you have a forum where people can freely lie, but calling them liars is an insult and always banworthy

If there's no where to play without running into cheaters, then what?

That's how bad it is. There are so many cheating that they're in the bottom ranks.

Its been like this for years and when you speak about it, a bunch of people (some of whom I believe are cheaters trolling me) come and tell me I'm bad at the game and nobody is cheating.

I just can't get the discussion past that since I feel bullied every time I try to bring it up.

This is Valves most popular game. It is being desecrated by cheating right now.

There has to be something they can do differently at this point so clean players can still enjoy the game.

Well when people do the same thing over & over with the same exact outcome each time and making a thread about it each time; Generally it's easy to tell where the issue is.

Sounds fair to me, no need to insult users, if you can't respond civilly then you should block and ignore

Before moderators possibly lock it the usual disclaimer.

If you feel your moderation was done by mistake contact support. The steam forums are not the place to argue over specific bans

Thread title: The CS2 steam forums has a bullying problem.

Are you excluding your own post history for any particular reason?

Haven’t you been harassing users. Insulting others online and making up lies to troll people?
Just the other day you were even insulting me, and for what?

You got banned for breaking the rules and insulting people. That’s literally tackling the bullying problem? What are you trying to suggest instead?

Your post history SCREAMS otherwise. Not to mention this is nothing new and has been going on for years. You make a post trolling and insulting people, you get banned for it. Then you come back to do the exact same thing over and over and over again. How long of a ban do you think is needed before you start following the rules?
