Suggestive and nsfw stuff on steam.

Hey i wanna talk about how steam bans people for stuff that is not even close to suggestive while letting people with nsfw or suggestive stuff go around steam.
As we know steam is 13+ and nsfw games on steam are a thing, and yes we also know they are hidden on steam for them but are the backgrounds from the nsfw games also hidden? or the profile pictures or emojis? I don't think so. same with artworks people post literal nsfw artworks and steam sometimes ignores many reports about these (an example of artworks steam shouldn't allow: https://steamcommunity.com/id/VaporeonGaming/images/ Though its not the best example i think as they removed acutal nsfw comics they had but still have many highly suggestive stuff in there.) and let's the people go free while people like me get banned for slightest reason.
My point is that steam should make an option to mark your steam 18+ so slighty suggestive avatars can be used as apperently my old avatar (a picture of me on a leash where i just sit on the bed) was taken down due to it being suggestive while people seriously just go around having cropped nsfw images or just straight up nsfw images...
Like i think steam should draw a new line about what they allow and what they don't as it's ridiculous how they ignore my 100+ reports on people i meet in games who really just post nsfw artworks or have nsfw pfps and go freely around steam without a single ban...
What im saying here is that the 18+ profile would let you upload SLIGHLY suggestive stuff like my pfp i mentioned before but still any nsfw or highly suggestive stuff should be taken down.

I also wanna point out here that im sorry if i make mistakes in writing or have bad grammar im typing this kinda fast but i hope you get my point of what im trying to say.


Also while im making this steam should also finally add an option to report comments on our own profiles and hiding them till support checks them as i rather the person to be punished than delete their comment and let them go free c:

Yup, artwork on the profile OP linked is reportable under the same rules. OP is assuming that because it's on that profile, that it's allowed content.

I report porn on profiles regularly, as artwork and profile pictures. It gets acted on.

i mentioned that steam doesnt ban people with nsfw pfps also while banning innocent people for barely anything.

usually when i report artworks or pfps i get a notification if they do something about it but i got nothing from these reports they just ignored them.

There won't be any public indication on the profile that a user is banned from uploading artwork.

You can't see the bans enforced by artwork deletion, as that ban is literally just bans from uploading artwork/changing profile picture.

Also this whole post is kinda based off me getting an pfp ban due to my other pfp with the leash on the bed which wasnt suggestive that much and my point is i get a ban but people with nsfw on their profile don't or reports take long time.

Steam really needs a change when it comes to this stuff as the staff seems to take bad decidions sometimes.

There won't be any public indication on the profile that a user is banned from uploading artwork.

Their profile gets private till they appeal usually.
but if u report them and staff takes care of it you recieve a notification thanking you for helping the community.

Usually when they're not removed they have the proper blur in the spaces such is allowed to be for profile artwork as an example.

If they don't remove it days, a week later; then whatever it is, likely doesn't violate any rules or was already reported by someone else and no action was needed. In the past we've seen people report the mere presence of cleavage as "porn" and of course, it wasn't removed.

Don't report the same content more than once, not only will nothing happen but most likely you'll get hit for abuse eventually.

Blur or not should not be allowed cuz if it is then my leash pfp should be allowed no problem but it isn't.

If you mean porn as in real depictions of people, No, they do not allow that. So this again comes down to something like "is it LITERALLY this, or just being called this?" like the cleavage example.

If it was literally you, in a leash, then no it's suggestive and signaling as being a part of specific adult-related activities in which, no, that suggestively is generally not allowed.

Pick a neutral PFP like a video game character or something clearly neutral in as many ways as possible.

Ask if it seems appropriate for most of society and 10+yrs of age, if no, don't upload it anywhere. If you do, your own artwork section and use the proper selection to blur it by default.

Then don't upload anything resembling it, anything that may suggest its a part of something adult/kink or whatnot. Neutral material is almost never going to be acted upon overall unless by a party that mislead them, which will get hit for abusing a system.

This place includes for children, so if reported content breaks the rules, it will be removed. Repeated offenses increase the length someone can't change/upload something, or if they can even have access to it at all.

but like i said i give up ima just wait maybe someone smarter than me will take this topic over one day and maybe steam will stop being greedy enough to fix issues with some rules.

There are rules and limitations, including such content cannot be posted into community sections that lack specific tags/ratings. Even to artwork, it is subject to the rules and can be deleted/result in restrictions or removal of access to such features, it does not mean anything goes.
