Trade Restriction Due to Nickname Change

Dear Steam Support,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to inform you about an issue I encountered after recently changing my Steam nickname. After making this change, I have found that I am now restricted from making any trades on the platform.

I was not aware that changing my nickname would result in a trade restriction, and I would like to kindly ask for your assistance in resolving this issue. Could you please look into my account and advise on how I can lift this restriction or if there are any steps I need to take to restore my trading privileges?

If i remember correctly it will only last 3 days.

I'd recommend making a direct support ticket rather than posting here as support mostly just lurks around and doesn't actually post in these boards. Honestly you're probably just gonna have to wait it out, as the restriction is there to prevent abuse and potential scamming by sending multiple requests from the same account but with different names or other exploits/deceptive tactices.

Support can not lift the cooldown.

The unfortunate part about the new profile name change trading cooldown (4 hour cooldown every time you change your profile name) is that page (linked below) will only state, "we have confirmed your account is unable to trade" generic message. Leaving people wondering wtf is going on.

The error while you trade during this cooldown is error (34).

It took a while earlier this year to figure out Valve silently added the new cooldown.
