SteamDeck and Call of Duty : Black Ops 6? 🧐
Who has already downloaded Call of Duty : Black Ops 6? Do you think the game will be compatible with Steam Deck?

Is Call of Duty bad for PC? That's the news. In general, the third part seems to work normally on SteamDeck, I hope they optimize 6.

From the few people i seen getting it to run on the Deck it had terrible performance.
Like sub 20 FPS in max low graphics in 600p resolution.
Also crashes like crazy.
Definitely not a Steam Deck game.

Yes, this is an example of poor optimization. STAR WARS Jedi: Survivor works terribly on SteamDeck, although there are no super graphics in the game. AAA studios have become very lazy to release optimized games right away!

Yes, but proton works wonders) Besides, it seems to me that the future belongs to the Linux platform.

proton isnt windows, doesnt matter how good it is or will become in the future. what will matter is if devs decide to make games for linux or not.

When will AAA companies bother to release optimized games? Sometimes even the 4090 Ti struggles 😂. As for the SteamDeck (I love this device), I’m really looking forward to Call of Duty: Spec Ops 6, now it doesn't work at all.

its not even made for linux so has no optimization.. IF they made the game native for linux then yes optimized games for linux/proton/steam deck.

no idea what your 4090 comment is about. i have a 4080 and game are fine, the bad ones you knock over the head with over the top specs and the game works. not great no but your 4090 comment is a bit nonsensical

My comment is about the fact that even on a powerful 4090 graphics cards, games such as Cyberpunk 2077, Battlefield 2042 and Microsoft Flight Simulator were slowed down (with microfreezes). Although later, it was all fixed, but this is about the fact that AAA companies do not optimize their games even for windows, let alone linux.

This is PC gaming, brutal and merciless 😁

No CoD titles from MW19 going forward will work on Linux due to the Ricochet anti-cheat not supporting Linux.

If you want to play the game on the Deck, use Windows.

Why not ask where people might actually know... like the Steam Deck discussion area or the Black Ops 6 section?

This is the suggestions and ideas area for the Steam client or website... not for the Deck or for the game.

While it works perfectly fine for me on PC, I've seen many issues that have yet to be resolved or even acknowledged by Treyarch/Activision.
