Steam + MobiKwik + NovaPlay payment nightmare—₹1293 gone with no game to show for it!
Alright, I’m about ready to scream. I just tried to buy a game on Steam for ₹1293 using MobiKwik, and somehow this payment got sent to NovaPlay.in, which I didn’t even know was in the mix. According to MobiKwik, the payment went through perfectly fine—they even gave me an invoice. But over on Steam? Nothing. Just a big, fat "FAILED" notice.

And it’s not even like they’ve kept me in the dark about this failure. Steam outright tells me, “Steam was not able to accept payment from your payment provider,” with some super unhelpful reassurance that if a charge shows up, it’ll be “removed” when the provider handles it.

Steam? MobiKwik has already confirmed the payment as successful. The money’s GONE from my account. And for the record, here are my Steam and invoice details—keeping it brief because this is already complicated enough.

So now I’m in this limbo where Steam hasn’t taken the funds but MobiKwik is like, “Hey, we sent the money,” and I’m just sitting here out ₹1293 with no game, no answers, and no idea how to get this resolved. I even tried contacting NovaPlay because apparently, that’s who MobiKwik sent the money to, but come on—why am I doing this legwork? Steam should really be sorting this out with their merchants if they're taking payments through them!

Anyone else had this mess happen with Steam/MobiKwik/NovaPlay? Or have any advice? I just want my game or my money back!

That is something to handle between you and Valve, as you stated they didn't receive payment, the processor (who took the money from your account) didn't fulfill their end.
