Steam's appID is 753.
Or make a group and blog in that.
Then why are you asking on Steam? In the Steam Suggestions forum?
Go to google or some other search engine and type in "how to write a blog" or "how to make a blog"
This is not the place to as for suggestions, specially not ones that have nothing to do with Steam. This is the where you post suggestions and ideas FOR Valve to put into Steam.
They are not a blogging company, there are plenty of them already, as I said, go use a search engine to find them and post there.
Look Steam is gonna be here for century or more. I was at beginning of gaming in middle of Europe. So writing a blog how it all started for me might be interesting for plp like your kids if god will give you his blessing.
What I am saying is - this platform will stay SOLID. Your funky blogs you are pointing me to will perish in time. Think about the bigger picture man.
You can, make a group, create a guide that isn't linked to any game (think you can just line one to steam itself), or make a blog somewhere and put a link to it at the top of your profile. There are lots of blog places that have been around for 10 or 20 years by now, find them post on them. Heck blogger.com has been around a while (1999).
Steam should never be an everything app... because you know what an everything app does well? Nothing. And while you might argue "this is just one thing" if people just keep asking for one thing after another to be added, and if they are added, then it becomes an everything app with a lot of bloat thats not needed.
They specially don't need to make a blog system for you to post stuff that is unrelated to Steam like you want.
