actually punish ban evasion/alt abuse

what's the point of moderation if people just immediately circumvent their ban within minutes by logging into one of their countless alts?

Well yeah, that is why the suggestion is to change that. Nothing wrong with alts or having them, but they should be linked in a way that bans are shared among the alts and the ban counts are tied to ALL alt accounts, not each individual one

Some dev's do also take action on Alt's. I saw one troll on the ATS forum who had a permaban have his alt account immediately permabanned and his posts nuked after he made a single post

Hence why the suggestion is to improve it. Lots of ways they can link it and catch a great many alts. Wouldn't catch them all, but it wouldn't be hard to do a few checks to make it more difficult.

Only because they wont do whats necessary. This is why 1 hq employee or remote employee should oversee specific scenarios, it would keep the community clean

The people who keep abusing the alts need to be completely cut out of here like a gangrenous wound.

We have been asking for this for a while.... it does happen, but takes FAR too long. If you are banned, and you are caught using an alt while banned, the ALT should get an instant perma ban and the main account should also get a perma ban.

Yes, when people try to weasel out of their punishment. Valve should just Thanos snap them out of the Steam Community hubs.

They do but aren't used as frequently. One of the main alt abusers still had a perm comm ban last time I checked. One of the alts denied it but its been months.
