Hijacker's bot rarely spam the same message over and over because it may trigger a warning, and there is no point too if the victim has no interest in clicking, anyway.

The very last option in the pull down says "Report Player"

If there was a "Report Player" or "Report Comment" option in group chats, people might actually use it, because it is *right there* where they are and doesn't require them clicking out of the chat.
So... yeah.
If you can't even be asked to go to the profile, then it really isn't much of a issue is it?
Sounds like you two are the one going "omg, That's two or three mouse clicks"
That's why that flag on the profile exists.
Better yet, if you're in a group that is sending out malicious links, it sounds like you shouldn't be a part of that group.
So tell me- why would having a "Report" function in group chats- any group chats, be a problem for you? I can't control who comes into a game's group chat when I am there, so how is me being in a game's chat looking for other people to chat with about the game an issue for you? All games bad, no go into game chat rooms! Game chat rooms bad!

Let me clarify, since it seems to be difficult for you to understand what I am saying- Valve adding a "report" function to chat rooms,-no matter if they are a Steam Group chat room or a game hub chat room- so people can report the posts directly from the chat makes more sense than Valve trying to filter or block every altered steamcommunity link and every discord link- before many of them have even been created by scammers and phishing spambots. Less effort for the user means more users *might* actually use the function, because yes- many gamers are lazy like that. There are always a bunch of threads in the Ideas & Suggestions subforum here asking for things to be made quicker and use less mouse clicks. You've been here long enough to have seen them and probably commented on them in the same argumentative manner as you are doing here in response to my comments.
Hope that helps clarify what I am suggesting- Add a "Report" function to all chat rooms, instead of trying to block and filter every single link that could possibly ever be made and used.
As someone who used to try keep updated the link filters here, there's an staggering number of new urls being used daily. It's really hard to stay up to date because by the time you add an url to the filters, five new ones have popped out.
And blocking whole services like Discord first does more damage than good. There's always more people making a legit use out of it then there's people busing it. Also it gives the impression Steam is 'censoring' the site, which isn't good PR.
