How long to beat
I think that it would be a great feature to make it so that you can sort your games by their "howlongtobeat" score. We already have the ability to list by metacritic score, so I think that that would be a great way to sort.

I'm gonna offer a few games that I've played for several years of my life:

https://howlongtobeat.com/game/45313/completions
https://howlongtobeat.com/game/58828/completions
https://howlongtobeat.com/game/11037/completions

All of these have wildly different definitions of what defines "main story" or "side objective" or "100%" for every listed run.

How about a game like Counter-Strike 2, which has 30-90 minute matches?

Well, apparently 10 hours is considered the "any% speedrun" time for Counter-Strike 2 by this website.

There's a huge number of games out there for which the question "how long does it take to beat this game" cannot be answered with just a number, or even a range of numbers. It just wouldn't be a good fit for a store that sells games of every genre together.

However, if you have a specific search query on HowLongToBeat that returns games you're interested in, the site already provides links to places where you can buy those games, including Steam.

Just use howlongtobeat. The client doesnt need every cockamamie idea anyone has stuffed into it.

The fundamental flaw of how long to beat is that it assumes you'll stay interested in the game for that length of time.

I've been playing Wizardry 1 for over 40 years and still haven't beaten it yet. So I'm going to go with it's a completely meaningless stat.

After all, what's happens with a game that has no end or no winning condition. We have whole genres of games like simulators and city builders just like that.
