See which games in someone else's wishlist has already been gifted

As the christmas season draws near, I am facing one more the same dilemma for each of my friends and family:

I start to buy them games from their wishlists, to be sent in christmas eve, without knowing if someone else already did the same. Most of the time there is no problem doing so, but sometimes someone else choose the same game to be sent as a christmas present and it generates conflicts and headhaches.

Currently, the person receiving the gifts have to choose which one to keep and which one to get refunded (refunded to the buyer account).

I would really like to see, in other's wishlist (not in ours!), which games have already been bought and gifted. As examples, it could be a alert message or the claimed game could be greyed out. Mimicking features seen on wishlist websites.
Note that I think that it is better to not simply remove such games from the list, as it is always interesting to see what has been requested.

The "in other's wishlist (not in ours!)" part doesn't really work since "we" would only have to log in to a secondary account to no longer be "us".

But maybe as an alert when you're in fact buying the gift. Potential privacy issue I guess -- but makes sense otherwise.
