visual novel / anime 'games' should have their own seperate store section

im not a fan of anime, not into visual novels or these hentai porn games valve has been allowing on to steam recently. no offense to fans of the genre(s), but i personally dont care for or want to see these games on the store page, or in my que. every single one thats been in my que i have said 'not interested' on, and yet steam still continues to recommend these games to me.

Sorry, but i just dont think dating sims or porn games or even anime visual novels should be on the main store screen in the 'games' categories. it should be like software, in a seperate section of the store you have to navigate to to find. or at least a way to completely disable the genre from showing up on your screen.

unless there is a way to do this already that I do not know, this is something valve should implement IMO. i just dont want to see porn games and anime harem visual novel stuff on steam. id rather pretend doesnt exist by not seeing them.

I play them for amusement and relaxtion, therefore they are games. You even refer to the as games yourself negating your own arguement.

I have the same problem with every single game that's mutli-player only or free-to-play.

You can browse by genre in Steam store, but you can't exclude categories from your discovery queue. A feature that should be added seeing as it completely ignores the 'not interested' vote.

i dont have the energy to pick through these posts and respond but as long as i can stop seeing them myself i really dont care. i still believe they should be in a seperate category but its honestly a minor enough issue.

Maybe we should suggest to remove the search function as it never gets used here on Steam.

Which is why it's important to see the distinction between VN and Hentai games. Some of them use an engine that give similar visuals to, say, early GTA games, others use cell shading for a more traditional anime style. You're protesting in a restaurant that they should stop selling burgers and pizza's. But they don't sell pizza's, which makes your whole argument look silly and misguided. If you're going to protest something, at least have the decency to know what you're protesting.

maybe you could learn to read? thanks for the synopsis and the finer details of hentai porn...lovely. i think non-game mediums should be in seperate sections of the steam store is the main point.
