Not agreeing with you does not make my responses stupid especially when all this boils down to you not wanting to pay and wanting emoji's to be free for the LGBT community.
if you believe it is good for the "community" then that community includes everyone who is not LGBT but who are also hetero, short, fat, thin etc, after all your suggestion, idea should benefit everyone who is part of the Steam community not just a select group.
Minorities sometimes need support. The last thing they need is the majority getting on their their high horse about it.
Making emoji's for differing disabilities, height, shape, likes, dislikes etc would normalise it but no you only want free emoji's for the LGBT community making it be very selective and fragmenting the community you claim would have a positive impact by giving free emoji's to the LGBT community only.
So you agree that normalization means no parades, no flags, no special treatment or considerations.
What is a pride flag?
A pride flag is any flag that represents a segment or part of the LGBT community. Pride refers to the notion of gay pride. Pride is not inclusive of those who are Heterosexual or Asexual.
You thread is about Pride Flags - https://ibb.co/R4ztxns
You also specifically referenced one group in the quote below and you definitely did not include everyone in that quote.
Why not free flag emotes for every nationality?
For every region or every town?
Or free badge emotes for every single sports team of every single sport in the world?
We can't just have endless basic emotes for every characteristic every human being in the world decides is the defining part of their identity, it's too much.
It was one thing when it was a matter of raising awareness. But now I don't think anyone is *not* aware. So no now it is just a special in group only thing that maintains the status of 'abnormality'.
Those thinsg are about as non-taboo as they are going to get.
Whwn the community stops doing the whole 'We're different, abnd we're special' thing then the community will cross that final hurdle and be seen as normal.
That's how it worked for interracial marriages after all.
