Steam do not care as valve is rely on linux for it backend infrastructure.
And if you want to use a browser, there is plenty outside, just pick your favorite flavor.
OK - does Linux do all that w10 does? with dx options? all portable like graphics drivers etc, is it all there? (dont judge from a dos man, from a spectrum 48kman).
I mean - what version of Linux? Last I heard there's all sorts of versions - what works for a windows type of version?
I did not talked about linux for your desktop but i just commented your post about the need of a real browser in steam and the recent digital incident : i imagined you talked about crowdstrike but may be i was wrong.
And about learning linux, just use a vm under virtulbox or qemu or vmware or even hyper v under your w10+ os if you are using the pro version of windiows or if you do not want to setup a vm, there is one site you can check
https://distrosea.com/
Thank you! let me know - years since I tried VM, Will try options.
Centos, Chimera, Debian, Devuan, Dragonflybsd, Edubuntu
Plus more - don't get the purpose of each version?
Steam says It's blocked & malicious!!!???
WTF?
I just wanted Linux options...
What am I supposed to believe!?
Because all are different flavors of linux ; see them like windows 10 s, windows 10 pro, windows 10 enterprise ,etc even if it's not really the same but it's a shorter explanation xd
And you can test all them freely online without the need to setup a vm on your pc to run it.
Sorry i am not an ia and never used it xd
And there is a time on your post and mine may be you should check this before posting surch thing ....
and at least if you want to post bs, try to post the same link i've posted xd
Anyway, if you want to get into Linux, I personally recommend Kubuntu. I like it a bit better than normal Ubuntu.
Many thanks - I'm checking out the linux options :) Difficult though given the options.
Thank you! Will check it out.
Apparently "the truth is out there".
I appreciate all the replies so far.
never heard of ladybird and/or webkit browsers ?
