No, the client should not do that. Christ if everything little thing you people come up with would be added tot he client, it wouldnt be a client anymore is would be an operating system.

If you want that functionality, use a browser to access the forums.

As mentioned in the many other threads on this topic which you could have READ before posting by using the search feature, Valve can't even get spell check working right, what makes you think they could get something like translation of 100+ languages into 100+ other languages to work?

Translation is not as easy as some people think it is, even ABC (Google), which is an information tech company who has thousands of people working on translations for the past 20 years can't get translations working right.

Valve has a grand total of around 350ish people that works for them, only around 75ish actually work on Steam itself.

And Valve is not going to hire a 3rd party to do it for them because thats VERY expensive. Specially considering Steam has over 25+ million active accounts a day, 140+ million active accounts a month and over 1 billion accounts in total. You can do it with a 3rd party website because they have given individual users free use of it, companies on the other hand have to pay a LOT of money.

And no, not all forums should be in English, people can write in what ever language they know.

You could easy just log into the forums via a regular browser and use a translation addon that allows you to highlight something and translate it.

Browsers have this capability, there are also sites that translate. You have to remember there are people who speak other languages that use steam.

You realize to keep making money that involves not recklessly spending money, right?

People also forget someone having money or a company having an amount of money is usually quoted far before expenditures are accounted for. Others wealth doesn't mean they should recklessly spend it on the whim of random individuals just because they have money, nor should it be expected every single idea has to be bankrolled because someone else holds the money for what someone wants.

Just sign in via the browser and use a translator extension, done. Else, don't go into hubs or discussions that you don't speak the language of or spend a few seconds to copy/paste it into a translator?

Steam can certainly be improved, yes. But to me it's questionable that improvements should be found in things like you suggested.

I prefer they invest their money in making existing Steam actually better than add niche features that are covered by better tools anyway.
