Suggestion- A new sub section for Ge Force Now users....
And others who have access to Steam.

This is not going to get much traction, but a Suggestion nonetheless, in that Steam is not just being access thru a PC anymore. There are many usrs access this service thru streaming, like that of Ge Force Now.

I personally love the service, and they do have their own forums, and better yet, Chat with Agent services who have helped me in the past.

But having a sub forum soley directed for those accessing Steam from other services besides a PC, may have peer to peer help more effective, or at least an outlet for those of us who do not neccesarily play on PC, but on consoles, phones and others, that carry Steam.

Please make this happen, Mr Newell.

Your friend,

Ranger :steamhappy:

GFN selling point is Steam and PC gaming.
You just made my point for me. GFN uses steam as a selling point, they could put their software on steam as a download if they wanted and then Steam would have created the forums for them.

I suggest you ask Nvidia to offer their software thru steam if you want forums on steam and you can link us to the thread you make so we can see what their response is.

They choose not. It's not steam's place to create it for them when they themselves choose not to.

Because you got it backwards. GFN selling point is Steam and PC gaming. Like many gaming laptops are selling points for Steam and PC gaming.

And Steam has a Hardware section to traverse those issues. They do not have such a section for GFN, Shadow PC and other outlets folks may be using.
Gaming laptops aren't selling points for Steam.

People have to be trolling when they're saying that Geforce Now or Laptops are selling points for Steam... People cannot possibly be like that. It has to.

Based on the history of not understand PC gaming or Steam, I'm going to say it isn't trolling.

Unless you're trying to imply, people use and subscribe to GFN, to play on Playstation. Of course GFNs selling point, is mainly Steam (others as well, but Steam mainly) and access too it from different devices.

Should also add Geforce Now even tells you to use their forums if you need help - https://www.nvidia.com/en-us/geforce-now/faq/

I’m having an issue while streaming a game. Where can I get help?
You can work with a Customer Care agent here. Our product and support teams are ready to assist when they can. You can also send us feedback by pressing the exclamation icon in-app and share your feedback or discussing your issue with our GeForce NOW Community on our forums.

If they wanted you to use steam forums they would tell you.

Can you provide an example of where a moderator on the Geforce Now forums is sending someone to steam for a Geforce Now issue like you claimed?

Something tells me if there were a Steam forum for GFN, OP would simply use it as a place to demand games be added to the list of playable games, regardless of a Dev's wishes..

I had an issue with a controller once. And first they told me to disable the controller in my steam settings, but it didn't carry over, and at that point told me it was likely a Steam issue.

And so i think what the OP is saying, is like we have Hardware and OS Forums here, there should also be forums for other outlets, as well. Makes sense.

So in other words it had absolutely nothing to do with GFN. That is what I thought.

Thank you for finally confirming that Rangers, the same issue would occur if you had run the game from Steam, the issue had nothing to do with GFN, so even if they had a forum that wouldn't have belonged there.

This has nothing to do with Steam. Ask Nvidia.

In fact, what we found out, is it had nothing to do with Steam, or Ge Force Now really, but simply adjusting the bit rate function on the GFN app, and not having anything running in the background.

The whole point being is you asked the question, and i gave you the answer, in that there are times Ge Force punts it to Steam.

And when i posed the question to Steam Support, the answer i got to that controller question was, "We have reviewed this matter, and have found your ban implemented properly", shows me, Steam has no support, nonesoever.

At least not adequate support.

And that's why, there should be a peer to peer subforum for these apps, as they are for Hardware. Gotta go Mr 9824. Have fun.

I know, I already said that it had nothing to do with Ge Force Now, thank you for killing the OP's idea and demonstrating that the dev's do not send people to steam for anything to do with GFN though.

Proves the point quite well why having a Steam run forum for it makes no sense since Steam can't deal with it and Nvidia actively wants you posting on THEIR forums, and they don't send you to steam like the OP falsely claimed.

Yes, they punt it to steam if it has nothing to do with GFN as you admitted

So having a steam forum for GFN would be useless as they don't punt you to steam for anything related to GFN. So if you made an off topic post on steam they'd tell you to go to GFN servers, if you made an off topic post on GFN they tell you to go to steam.

Or as I call it, common sense in that you should post in the correct forum

GeForce Now has its' own forums too. Who would've thought?
Sounds like a place to ask for a subforum for a Steam user
