Rapporter et problem med oversettelse
As mentioned in all these threads on this topic, people already complain about getting jesters and other awards, with holding points will only bring out more complaints about them only being used as an insult. There are many who even without the points would still try to farm them just so that they could say "I have X number of awards more then you" to their troll friends.
How about this... stop using them to try to punish people by giving them awards... its silly anyway. Report posts that break the rules and if they don't break the rules just ignore it.
What needs to happen is all the awards removed, not just jester or their points. All the awards from every section that Valve put them in.
It won't stop the spam/farming/junk from being posted but it will slow down over time.
You (and others) giving awards to spam/farming/junk posts is part of the problem.
It is very easy to just tell people to stop using them. But sadly this doesnt have any effect.
The fact that being negative or letting insults fly can lead to being awarded for it, has led to this bot problem where points are so easily farmed.
There must be over 1000 "Please stop supporting piracy" topics buried in game discussions now, iv seen plenty of mostly the same post but slightly jumbled up by a bot. It never ceases to earn tens of thousands of points in Jester Awards.
This cannot continue to be the norm for Steam, action here is needed.
The solutions to deal with this are simple and plentiful, i gave 2 ways to deal with this, but theres many other ways.
