Please i beg steam so that they put something on the points shop that unlocks gifs for pfps, it can be like 5000 points to purchase but then u could freely change as many times as u want, because 5k points for every gif pfp u choose is kinda expensive idduno.

I don't think they'll ever allow custom animated profile pictures because of how people would use them unfortunately.

I'd just be happy if uploaded avatars would be properly sized for each place they're used. On forums, uploaded avatars become blurred for instance when you scroll over them in the discussion posts. This doesn't seem to be the case for the avatars you can purchase via steam points though. They look as crisp as they do on places like the steam profile for instance.

People can sneak in inappropriate images for a fraction of a frame, so each one of those uploads would have to be manually reviewed to see if it follows the guidelines and whatnot.

That's too much of a hassle to consider implementing it.

yeah, totally agree with that, but how can they do that with other platforms like discord? It seems hard sure, but i think maybe for valve is doable, but as u and others said, maybe not profitable lmao.
