could the lawsuit mean fortnite finally on steam???
with the pending legal battle regarding steams noncompete strategies, i am wondering if this will force epic and steam to make a deal in order to make Fortnite available on steam. Thoughts?

Sweeny can put Fortnite on Steak at any time. Nothing is stopping him from doing it, other than wanting money.

Idk if lawsuits have anything to do with it, but the days of Exclusives are coming to an end. Before long, we;re gonna get to play ALL of our games, on the machine or platform of our choices.

Considering exclusives have been a thing for decades in the Free Market Economy, and for every product under the sun (and not just games), I find that highly doubtful.

They wouldn't get 100% of sales like they do now, which is also funding their store and free games.

Well our "free market" economy is near it's end BJ. And with that, these suits, regulations and other matters. That being said, whether it's Sony and their former head, MS, Mr Newell in his strides to open his market, we are getting to that time.

Not really. Ultimately, it's up to the product manufacturer where they want to sell their product. I can walk into my local Target and Wal-mart and find exclusives for everything from music albums to clothing to specific flavors of Kambucha drinks. Games are not really all that much different.

If Sweeney doesn't want his games on Steam, they will never be on Steam. If some Indie dev only wants to release on GoG and no other platform, that's entirely within their purview to do.

Why would Epic need to have Fortnite on Steam? Seems they are making bank with it on EGS. It's the one true revenue stream for Epic. The few loyal Steam holdouts wouldn't add much more value to the product, plus they'd have to split it with Steam. If you've followed Tom Sweeney's path, he don't like to share profits and certainly not with Valve.
I hope not. Nobody wants to share the same community with ... them.
