Punishments for those who toe the line of the rules

As it stands now, you can only be punished for overtly breaking the rules, but as long as you cleverly don't break any rules, you're allowed to be as condescending, snide, and rude as you want to be. There are people who know where the line of the rules is and toes the line to bait out people to get banned. I propose that if someone gets punished because of someone doing this, the person doing this shares the same exact punishment. It would either clean up the forums or just get those ban numbers up, but it's better than doing nothing.

its just shoddy moderation and support acting out to encourage negative posting so they can viciously attack people for no reason, you will notice that a majority of the people making snide rude and tow the line comments have extremely long posting histories that support steams narrow narrative and some of its questionable bad choices.

these people are over all anti social individuals which is all steam seems to want to hire, they aren't even friendly and most can't do the job right, they seek to harass and attack the real forum users for the sake of punishing individuals to make themselves feel better about the lack luster lives they live.

don't let it bother you, they are harmless flies that gather on the crap that steam shovels to all of us.

bet that the comment bothered them so much cause its true, other wise they wouldn't be so hard up on the comment and instantly wanna jump on it.

its slightly concerning how they all get so easily baited and yet fall for the baited comment and then try to attack it.

btw there is nothing wrong with the comment, battery failure is common on devices, having your used tesla sitting in steams parking lot while you tell us all you don't work for steam is even more questionable and concerning , I am sure that one of steams office employee's hasn't moved that tesla in months.

the ironic part about this is steam employee's affording a Tesla makes the story less believable.

i don't think the question is does steam have hidden employee's but the question is just how many of the frequent posters are steam employee's that hide the fact.

imagine if steam forum was actually only real users, i sort of have and i have noticed tons of unanswered questions across the forums by individuals not on steams employee's radar.

i feel honored though, you should to OP they have you and me both on the steam radar, they are watching you like a hawk now waiting to swoop down in and pick you outta the water.

you can clearly understand it as perhaps some of your previous postings where just ignored, but now you seem to have a dedicated follower group of the same individuals answering every thread you post.

The interesting thing is they know of an individual that admitted of using dozens of accounts to constantly spread disinformation & troll the forums, even making the individual aware that they know of said activities, but didn't just delete all of the accounts & punish the primary account like most services tend to do.

Now, if they actually took action on known troublemakers or people that might not be suitable for the forums, things would be better.

Yeah, moderatiom ought to be a tad harsher with those repeat-offenders.

I can agree to some extent (especially to part with repeat offenders from previous few posts), but that might be partially from my own, biased perspective. I would want people like those Mad Scientist mentioned out of the forums, but at the same time, at some point it might turn into "I don't like them, so they must go". I think, that current moderation is not prepared for this.

don't let them fool you, its the same tiny minority of users that have a problem with all users.

these people are in the "GROUP" as commented on earlier, they have a problem with everyone, mostly "non Customers" as you can see in several of the comments.

why you ask cause they are simply steams yes men. they aren't anyone you should bother listening to as they try to justify the comments they make as correct and all others labeled as wrong.


its simply a lack of power going on, they are powerless to silence opinion and instead try to infringe upon the users ability to comment and partake in a open forum for any intellectual converstaion.

there is only one cycle of trolling/ bad faith here and it starts with them attacking the comments only to then attack the users supporting the topics.

they are even going so far at to try and attack me openly as i made comments about steams employee's, which of course "none of them are"

Ironic though how offended it makes them, I just think its interesting as to why topics like this matter to them, when leaving them alone would be the smart choice that doesn't expose any of them as steam narrative instigators.
