Also, Sony is not secure.
I'd rather see Sony port all Playstation exclusives to PC while at the same time dropping their mandatory account shenanigans.
Thats the reason these scumbags started infiltrating Steam.
I don't like what I see.
as for the account issues that is not going away....
Not quite. Reading into every business decisions as evidence of decline or failure is a mistake.
Gaming is still evolving. Sony wants to make money and they'll keep evolving too. Releasing products on other platforms and increasing revenues isn't necessarily a desperation move. The playstation brand is well established, and perpetual console exclusives may not be worth it any more.
But seems like lots of gamers seem to interpret things changing through the lens of success or failure. May not be that simple.
I mean xbox is doing the worst out of all 3 consoles and they are also porting most of their exclusives over to other platforms because they need the sames more then the exclusivity. Especially as gamepass is cannibalizing their sales and has hurt their long term growth
Phil Spencer hit it out the park, and Xbox now on the forefront on the coming years. And Mr Newell, is next.
What Sony has to do, is come out with new IPs that are not 20 years old, go full back compatible, and get with the times.
Actually you have that backwards, Sony and Nintendo have been dominating with console sales. Xbox is in last place and has been talking about abandoning the xbox brand and giving up on hardware and focusing only on software because they are not selling consoles. Which to be honest would be the best move. Xbox has always sucked with the hardware and they have been focusing on games and software more. So it would make sense for Phil Spencer to throw in the towel and admit that Sony and Nintendo kicked their butts in the console wars and instead focus on releasing games for the better consoles.
Microsoft is also facing a multi billion dollar lawsuit and yet another FTC investigation which is putting them in hot water and
