Even pride flags are not regulation flags such as United States. That's only one true flag. Rainbow flag isn't legitimate flag.
I dunno, 🏳️🌈 looks like a flag to me.
Yes it was a troll campaign, but get over yourself with the abbreviation thing. Super is just a common word people use to exaggerate things. Would you call a restaurant named Super Sandwiches horrible because the abbreviation is SS? Jesus.
I just looked up Super Straight on Wikipedia. It's not a coincidence.
We don't have to guess. They used the actual logo of the Nazi SS. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Straight_flag#cite_note-:3-3
my bad, I forgot Steam forums are a place where people take 4chan trolls at face value
Or they do know and just want to use trolling as an excuse to save face when it gets called into question. It's no use arguing with someone like you willing to make excuses for this though. This is my last reply humoring you.
It's like people have forgotten that teenagers will do anything to piss people off and be edgy, including using imagery like that. Like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥'s 4chan, nothing they do is serious, it's all primarily to piss people off. And it works.
Someone can do something to piss someone off and be a neo-Nazi. Those aren't mutually exclusive.
To think every internet troll is a neo-Nazi because oh no they used bad imagery is downright silly though. Like 9/10 times, it's just some teen being edgy and shocking. It's the lowest hanging fruit of edge too.
But what Wayward said is correct, it really doesn't matter if you're doing it as a joke or not. If you do it long enough, eventually people who are not joking and are actually quite sincere about their hatred will join in. When you cultivate a particular audience, you can't act surprised when said audience grows.
And the idea that 4chan is just edgy teenagers is really laughable.
That would be a good idea which would definitely help reduce the toxicity and it would also discourage people from giving awards to bad faith actors (you know, people saying trans people should be put to death).
If we can kill off the idea that an award is a "punishment" I'm all for that.
