Use those.
If it's the latter, just use the summary and custom info boxes.
The former, straight up impossible to provide every single pronoun and gender people use these days in a list to pick from.
Valve asks for a LITTLE personal info as possible. That is information that they do not need to have.
If you want people to know that info, put it in the Summary or custom info box like suggested. Valve doesn't need to provide a customized section, where you get a little flag or text or what ever. So many people would complain that their pronoun is not there, or their flag is not there. You'd also have all the bigots and hateful people ranting "why isn't there a straight flag" or what ever junk they come up with.
So no, Valve should not do this as you already have places where you can tell people what your pronoun is if you want to. Valve doesn't stop you from doing that.
And finally there is only one pronoun which is gender neutral and applies to all - Me.
Before someone inevitably tries to bring up certain sales, they allow Developers/Publishers to make sales/events without interfering, that doesn't mean endorsement.
Basically. Your gender, or your pronouns don't matter enough to Valve, Publishers, or to other gamers for it to be worth the extra hassle.
Sorry, but Valve isn;t in the business of providing external validation.
You can use your Profile name, the various profile widgets and so forth to do this if it matters to you,. Valve isn't going to stop you.
Anyway, you can find my preferred pronouns in my profile description. To save you a click, I don't care what you call me as long as I know you're talking to me when you're talking to me.
You can put your preferred pronouns there too, or in your display name like some of my friends do, or in a custom showcase, or even in an achievements showcase if you play those games with the letter achievement icons.
Steam doesn't need a dedicated field for a specific piece of information you can voluntarily give. That's what the free-form description box is for.
we can upload any pic we want (as long as it does not break tos)
we can write whatever we want as our name (see above)
we can do up our profile as wanted ()
we can do what you ask, really
You are literally as visible as you want to be.
And no one is being left out.
The option to add a line or two to the summary or custom text field is also available tyo everyone. And best oif all you aren't as limited.
