Much faster game download speed would be good

According to Internet speed test, my download speed is 650Mbps. Upload speed is 330Mbps.

But download speed from Steam for a game update is 4Mbps. I tried clearing the cache etc. It is just very slow. I have much better speed with Epic Games. It would be good if Steam upgrade the infrastructure. Cheers.

Their infrastructure is not the issue, there are users active here that have Gb+ connections and it saturates their connection. You can try a different download region in the settings, or remove any limiters you may have forgotten about also in the settings.

Anyone between you and Steam could also place restrictions, so if it's downloading slowly check the settings or try another download region.

Check your download region.
That tends to be an issue as some users are using a download region that is to far from them and it slows their Steam downloads.

Beyond that, Steam cannot and does not touch your download speed.

Some ISPs limit downloads as well, especially from sites like Steam.

I am able to download at 80-90MB/sec. Most people can, assuming an issue must be Steam is convenient, but you have to ignore the millions of users who can max out their connections and/or download much faster than 4MB/sec.
