Steam Points towards Game Purchases and Discounts

Will we ever be able to use our Steam Points towards Game Purchase Discounts at Checkout and even buy full games if we earn enough Points? we have to buy alot of games to earn Points so it would be very reasonable to have some type of Rebate Program so we can use our Points towards buying Games instead of Profile Content which should still be optional. Sony is already doing this with Playstation Stars so it would also make fair competition! Please implement this in the near future because this is much needed.

Yes, with the version of Steam Points that disappeared after the sale where they were granted. If you want that system to come back, you're going to have to convince a lot of people to part ways with their point balance.

Valve tried coupons a couple times with the Token system for a $5 coupon. Each time people exploited the crap out of it and Valve never brought it back when they switched to the points system.

The coupons that were used with the old Token system that users found ways to abuse/stack them to get free games worth over $100.

If Valve wants to try this again, they'll definitely have plenty of restrictions in place.
