Notifications when a server reaches X number of players

For those who don't know, there's a server browser built into the steam client, for any compatible game that uses steam networking (mostly valve games). You can access this by going to view > game servers, and it'll show you servers for any (compatible) game in your library

I think it would be useful if i could select one of my favorite servers. and set a number of online players, and get a steam client notification if that server has that many players online at once. I'm no developer but i would assume it would only need to ping once every few minutes in the background.

i like playing half life gun game, but the only server that consistently hosts it is kinda dead. So it would be neat if i could just get notified whenever more than 2 or 3 people are on the server

I'm not sure there's a lot of incentive to cater to dead games or game modes with one server that has so few players you need to be notified that anyone is on it.

Although I do sympathize when you like something and no one plays it anymore, it would be nice not to miss out on the increasingly rare chance to get in a game.
