I always just use https://speedtest.net
I have a 1Gbps connection and speed test shows 930Mbps, which equals 1Gbps if the ISP is defining it as 1 billion bits (base10) as opposed to 1,073,741,824 bits for base2 (2^30) so speed test seems accurate to me.
Seems rather pointless to me.
Are you sure? The title of the thread says otherwise. FYI Speedtest.net has proven accurate for me for years
Besides the conflicting data above what exactly is the issue? Because what you describe means nothing. Help people help you by explaining the issue.
