Play a randomly suggested game from your library
I have always preferred Steam to other game library platforms, but one of the things I really liked within the GamePass application was the ability to randomly roll and have a suggested game to play. I have so many games I've never played in my library and it is almost impossible for me to figure out what I want to play sometimes. This might be a cool little option that just randomly suggests a game in your library.

Doing it through a third-party website is kind of inconvenient. It would be nice to just have this feature in the app.
sure, just wait 5-10 years for valve to implement it, maybe

People suggested it for years and all we got was the Play Next shelf.

I remember the old Spring Cleaning events that had a similar randomizer which turned into the Play Next shelf. It was called the Spin Cycle...

Don't bump the thread I linked because support might lock it.

This was another oldie that I used to recommend to choose random games...

I mean, you can just close your eyes and scroll through your library. Then play the game where the cursor stopped! :steamhappy:

I just made a post of exactly this. I want a random button. Even if I end up hitting the button 50 times, I want one.

i would use it

there are days where i am just not sure what i want to play

scrolling works, but always seems to skips some games

truly random would be cool

Play Next is just a list of games that you have zero-little playtime on.
We're talking about a random dice roll that picks a game for us.
RN out of my 300 games I have have like over 100 I need to beat. Some with game time, some untouched. Sometimes I have no idea what I'm in the mood for. On Xbox there is a 'random' button that picks a game for you. That is what we want to see.
I want to be able to say 'I'm in the mood for a shooter, but which one' then go down to my shooter list I created, hit a button, be like 'Okay, I guess that one' or 'Nah, let me roll again'.

So many games you don't know what to play sounds decadent.
If you have more than say 500 games Steam should offer you to gift games to random Steam users with less than say 50 games

wait, they are not gonna do that are they :steambored:
A randomizer would be great—kinda like ubg98[ubg98.io] games online, where I used to just click something random and discover hidden gems. One time, I finally played a game I bought years ago on a whim, thinking I'd hate it, and it ended up being one of my favorites.
