Permanently removing a game is also an option if you like. The advanced hide could be improved on, but if it's indistinguishable from never having bought it on your end I don't see the meaningful difference.
Is this about wanting games to not clutter up your store, or about wanting to get some of the money back after you finish them? If it's about getting money back, that's never been an option with digital games short of selling the whole account. Which is against Steam's rules and a good way to get the whole account banned.
Yes, but games still present on your account.
Ok, please dont hate me, its just an idea.
Thanks a lot for discussion
Reading the rest of your posts, kind of seems like you have some strong feelings about old/unwanted games where you'd rather pay the full retail cost to un-buy them rather than hide them. Unfortunately I think you're in a minority.
Also to be fair you didn't mention in your scheme the developer and Valve would still get their money and the user gets zero. Which of course has the problem of users aren't going to gravitate to that scheme. Most of the time they want money fir the products they sell. It's not some OCD cleanup concern.
Try your white knighting somewhere else.
