STEAMDECK and Playstation
I would like to suggest that valve to make a deal with Sony. The deal would be that valve only takes 10% instead of 30% for Sony port the games over to steam deck with native Linux ports. Sony could also make the games compatible standard Linux desktops, but to first focus on steam deck.
If Sony would focus on steam deck instead of their own portable console, then they can save money, and help Linux which the ps5 is based off of become more of a standard.
This could be older titles, and Sony could also push classics this way too.

Sony is free to release their titles on Steam and be treated like everyone else.

Yes, but this would be a partnership that would help push native ports without the need of proton. If we can get more steam deck native games we would see completely compatible games with compatible drum show up on Linux. Games would run more efficiently, and could have features that fit the steam deck experience.
Maybe a trend could start with steam deck exclusives that make full use of the deck.

Valve doesn't do exclusive deals.

No, Valve should not give special treatment to certain companies. No company should be treated different, or get a better deal.

If Sony doesn't want to make money from the millions of users who have PCs but don't have a Playstation then thats their problem. Many users want to buy their games, but they don't want to have 3 or 4 different consoles or more to play them. They don't want to have to use a controller to play First or 3rd person games. They don't want to be forced to buy a whole new console just to play the next game in the series.

Also there are a bunch of games that were playstation exclusive on steam now. God of War, Marvel's Spider-Man games, Persona games, and Uncharted 4, Last of Us, Final Fantasy games, Sackboy a big adventure, Journey, Heavy Rain, Days Gone, Disgaea, Horizon Zero Dawn games just to name a few.

More are coming.

So again no, there is no reason to give Sony special treatment.

OP, have you considered that Sony might have different interests that include their own handheld?

Valve doesn't do exclusives as already mentioned. There is also no need for a small company like Valve to help a huge company like Sony (and yes Valve is small compared to Sony, specially when it comes to the number of people that work for them).

Also the deck is not a great platform to aim for. While its decent its still under powered compared to most desktops people have. I would not be interested in a game thats aimed to work exclusively for the Deck, I would be interested in a game that will run on the deck, but run even better on my PC (which is not a powerful system) and runs even better if/when I have a better PC 5 or 10 years from now.
