PWM on OLED Steamdeck
Hello guys,

A question regarding PWM.

Are there any plans to enable a software fix for the LCD, and more importantly the OLED model, given the strong impact of the frequency used?

I understand that PWM with OLED is unavoidable, but given there are software solutions to mitigate the affect, I’d like to know if this issue is one of the priorities and is hopefully considered in one of the future firmware updates?

Otherwise, kudos on both Deck versions and I hope you guys keep on this trajectory and continue keeping your customers very happy.

Thanks

Once I sell my knife, I'm going to buy a deck. Which would you recommend?
OLED is better in every way, except PWM.
If on a budget, get the 64GB LCD model, buy 1TB SSD from AliExpress, watch an install video on YouTube, and 20 minutes later you have a 1TB Steamdeck.
Or you could always buy a second hand one on Ebay, from people upgrading to the OLED.

The LCD has PWM too, just at a bit higher rate.
