Mark / flag game as "done"
I've found several discussions about this over years (and I have created a new thread explicitly compliant to the rules).
As far as I know, there's still no function to mark/flag games in the library as *done*.

The most useful flag to me would be "completed/ finished/ done" to mark a game as done.

Maybe, if there is the willingness to implement such a flag, you may add other flags too, or a set of icons, that one can use to flag his/her games. Eg. a cross, checkmark, hourglass, questionmark, or similar icons may be used individually to flag games in the library.

Such flag(s) would really help one to manage our libraries (and piles of shame of course).

Of course, a filter would help then too. Show/hide the flagged games.

PS: I know the function to make folders, and the suggestion, to put "done" games in a "done" folder. That's not an option to me, as there is no possibilty to make subfolders, so that would mess my library completely.

I'd support it. Currently use 100% achievement completion as a "done" flag but only in games in which that is at least somewhat enjoyable -- for me meaning no multiplayer/online ones already at least, and for the rest do stupid stuff like "30 out of 60" and the like.

Getting all of the achievements does not mean a game itself is complete.
There are plenty of games that have content not connected to achievements.
Heck there are some games you can acquire all achievements for and not even beat the story.

You can make a collection named "done games". :shockedstar2022:

Yes, OP mentioned that. Not really a great solution, indeed given that this leads to a proliferation of top-level collections. I.e., I already have many games in multiple collections and frankly you end up just organising things into a bigger mess.

Works For Me...

On the other side, it would be useful it the filter would be extendend eg. by play time. So one can filter for games with zero minutes/hours, to list games not yet played at all.

I'm just thinking of how to get a better view on the games one own, as the libraries get bigger and bigger over time, overviewing gets more and more difficult...

You can sort of do that one via Profile -> Games -> All Games which allows sorting on play time.

Yes, is different from library, and your notion of having more flags there is good I'd say.

Maybe for the time being use the built in game notes and make note that it is completed.

Up to now I'm able to keep track of it in my mind (if played/completed or not) hehe, thanks for the idea, I'm really looking for a function to filter the list to improve the overall view of the lib.

I've suggested in the past something akin to the Outlook flags. Customisable, can be filtered (both on and off) and sorted on. would make library management a whole lot easier.

Sure. Some set maximum of user-nameable boolean flags. Agreed.
