Swap Turkey over to the Global store, instead of locking it up to USD-MENA region.
Just like the old days back when Turkey had to buy Steam wallet cards in USD to use Steam, switch them over to the Global store. At least this way I can exchange gifts with my Turkish OG's in Turkey. Your latest change doesn't make any sense if you're still going to lock them up in a price region without giving them regional pricing.

So, do you think Valve forgot about that when they made a new region? Or do you think they might have made an informed decision?

The thing is with their own USD region they can have regional pricing still. It's just their prices won't need to be micromanaged due to their constantly declining currency. USD prices mean the games will use USD currency in their pricing, not that it will (necessarily) be the same as the pricing for the global or united states regions.

Yeah a day of fixed exchange rates definitely not the same as pricing for global. What I'm saying is it's too insignificant to make any difference so they should drop it all together.

So you know what all the prices for the new turkish region are going to be then? Would you care to share that information? Or you making random assumptions? Which has led you to believe that you know better than Valve how to manage their business? Like what if prices are lower in the turkish region than the global region? Which do you think turkish gamers would opt for given the choice?

You can feel free to check any fiat exchange you would like to get an idea about the prices. I highly doubt it's going to be any cheaper than before. That's being said, they can manage their business however they would like. I'm simply voicing my opinion on their decision to group multiple price regions in to one under names as "LATAM-USD" and "MENA-USD", and switch their pricing to match USD exchange rates. I have expected the latter to happen sooner, but I find the grouping unnecessary since the transactions will be done in USD. One assumption I'm making here is regions under aforementioned regional groupings cannot gift to other regions outside of their group. This isn't in the writing, so my assumption is based on how things worked previously. All I am saying is IF the transactions are going to be done in USD, drop the unnecessarily region locking purchases for the reasons I said in my initial comment.

One mistake I must admit, in the Steam support notice effected regions received it does not say anything about the exchange rates being fixed for the day. A small misinterpretation of mine, yet I'm surprised you failed to point it out, which puts me in doubt that you even read the notice.

All other countries that have their prices in USD, their currency is converted from X to USD already. So whatever their bank determines the exchange rate to be is what they pay. In cases where Valve's payment processor has to do the conversion, they'd follow a similar process. So to my mind this isn't some confusing unknown, you only need to look what's already done. It's not some mystery, so I think you're really over thinking this detail.

Your opinion about the grouping is your own. You can have your opinions, Valve has there's. You're not privy to Valve's opinions or what drives their decisions, so I'm not sure how you can be certain that yours are better or even relevant outsides your concerns, which may not align with Valve's.

You shouldn't make assumptions about gifting. It seems fairly plausible with prices being stabilized under USD that gifting would be possible, although it would still be subject to standard gifting rules. But some things we'll just have to wait for further announcements, or the actual implementation of.
