Create a collection named "free games" and add them to it.
Right...
You know, maybe I should change my suggestion to "Remove newly purchased games from recent activity" - because, if you want to find them, just "Create a collection named "[New Games]" and add them to it."
I don't know why people feel the need to fight against something logical...
You would not have to hunt if you HAD created a collection to begin with.
Alright smart guy... if I am currently on the store page and I click "Add to Library" on a free game... how would I go about getting that game into the collection?
It shows in your library as "uncategorised".
Hmm... yeah... along with 1000 other games. Nonetheless, even adding it to a collection will not sort it by most recently added to library. So even still, I can't see which one was just added now.

Ah yes, the existence of that definitely means they shouldn't implement a feature which makes logical sense. NOW I have to copy the title of EACH free game I added, switch to the library tab, search it, then add it to the collection, which still won't tell me that it was the most recent, I will have to once again cross reference with that page.
Not to mention the fact I just added Town of Salem 2 to my library... it was nowhere to even be found in the library, even searching... until I searched for it on the store again and chose "Play Game" to install it. THEN it showed up in my library.
What else can you try to fight this with?
You are the one adding those games to your library therefore you should know the most recent one/s. You could for example write them down in a notebook but that link i posted literally tells you what you added.
Ah right, yeah... I remember now, I was going to change my suggestion to "Remove newly purchased games from recent activity", Why do they need to go there when you purchase them? You should know what games you purchase, when you purchased them, and in what order you purchased them.
