Since there is no alternative for gamers (other then idk with shipping of $20 to EU), can we please add either merch or some other kind of section to the workshop?

So plp could publish printable files of stuff, or pdf for art... etc. At wrk we have really nice new printer up to A0 or I could 3d print about anything.
I guess that is reason the shop closed down.

If the store closed down, and Valve doesn't bother to replace it with some other alternatives it might just not be that lucrative. And they may not be interested in contracting that work out, or facilitating users to 3D print things.

It's definitely one of those things that if Valve wants to they will, and if they don't they won't. They knew they were shutting the store down and not having a replacement plan kinda tells you about the level of interest.

It can't hurt to ask and pursue it if it's something you really want/believe in. But manage your expectations and remember that sometimes, "No", is a complete answer. (And anything other than a "Yes" is effectively a "No".)

I'm not the target demographic or anything. I'm not a big merch buyer. I feel like I'm stating the obvious though because sometimes people present ideas like Valve forgot to do something, or has no clue how to operate their business.

Also my feelings and opinions do not matter and aren't going to sway Valve any which way. I'm not opposed to the idea. I'm just skeptical that there's actually interest at Valve at this time, and my skepticism might have decent reasoning, but ultimately it doesn't matter either.

AFAIK it was an unofficial shop that wasn't affiliated or managed by Valve. They had some sort of deal to use their trademarks, and that was the extent of the affiliation.

So, in essence you want Valve to provide a store for illegal bootleg items for their own games?

People can already make art and post files any number of ways on the Internet. I'm not seeing the need or incentive for Valve to specifically facilitate this, especially when your main use case seems to be bootlegs/piracy.
