Moderators Cannot Delete Thread Without Reason
This should be a rule. Has happened to me.

There is presently no rule to ensure moderators cannot remove a thread without any reason and without rule basis.

New Steam rule needed:

"Moderators will give a reason for a thread's removal, and only if it breaches a Steam rule."

To clarify, I don't care why it was removed, this is a matter of principle: must have a reason, must be based in clear rules.

It is my hope this can be respectfully resolved via a simple rule change and not have to be broadened to discussions on how moderators at large operate on Steam.

Most removed threads are spam from bots and compromised accounts. There's no reason to give a reason for removing those.

As for the reason, where would they put it? Give you a warning to go with it? Fine by me. Lets have every removed thread count against your account then. Three warnings equals a ban. Three removal related bans equals a community ban. Would solve the problem of certain serial posters going on a rampage.
They have a reason. Your agreement isn't necessary though.

"You don't care why it was removed but want a reason" is a contradiction.

Secondly moderators can remove a thread without the need to offer an explantion for removal.

And finally the thread title: "Moderators Cannot Delete Thread Without Reason" is a demand not a suggestion.

You already made this suggestion, and commented on identical threads;

Moderators are not obligated to inform users of removing duplicates or other basic moderation that doesn't result in a warning/ban. When a user even admits they're remaking a locked thread or older of the same thread, yes, they can take action. If users notice repeated habits including re-making old threads by the same person or with a very minor difference, moderation is likely going to remove it.

The amount of total locked/deleted threads should've been a strong warning.
M7,. YOu know exactly what you did.
You know exactly why it was removed.
You know full well you made a copy of a RECENTLY locked thread.
Be happy that all they did was delete it.
Read the rules moderators can do whatever they want if they feel it violates the rules. They don't have to give you a reason read the rules then your reason is in there.
"I want to remove it" already is a reason, so what's the issue?
In the thread that was removed, you opened with admitting knowing it was previously locked by a moderator.

That puts it up for removal since it is the same subject that was locked.
As others have stated you know the reason, you just don't like it.

We have to accept that they like to act as criminals and dictate their will by censoring all they don't like, even if a discussion is genunie and right.

In this community 𒐪⎝ Epylector ⎠𒐪 you'll encounter all kind of people and those who have the powers don't mean they're good. The users on these topics(5 in less than 2 weeks) want only explain to you the difference from a free spot where write opinions and locked spots as "this" where you have to say only what they want; we're in the dictators lair. This community is founded on unethical and unprofessional enviroment as my personal opinion and experience.

If Steam doesn't like it, it gets trashed, if steam can't profit off it, it gets trashed, if its something about steam making it look bad, it gets trashed, if in the case its a lie about a game that helps steam profit they allow it.

basic understanding is important, if it hurts , exposes, truthfully declares , or other wise, shows steam its guilty, it is quickly removed, deleted, or locked.

agreed!
and a reason for post removals too, since stealth deletes happen WAY too often.
post gone with no warning, or ban, or notification, let alone an explanation.

There are literally active threads "trashing" Steam that have been going on for months.

Per present moderator logistics, I cannot respond to an old thread as it will create confusion. Appreciate you mentioning an old thread from a couple years ago, that user makes some good points. That user happening to be me is a nice touch too.

Repeating how things are is not an argument.
