Please either fix, or warn people about Prototype.
I love the game series, I bought it to play and relive something I loved from my childhood, but learned far too late that it won't run on modern PCs without altering the cores of your CPU. To someone who is good with tech, that may not sound hard, but to me, someone who can only build and upgrade a PC and little more, I was terrified to alter the cores of my CPU, worried I'd brick my PC. I eventually did it, and it worked, but to someone who isnt familiar with tech at all, they may be too scared to even try, and won't even be able to play this game. Please, either fix it, remaster it, or warn people that it doesnt run on modern systems without alteration, before you sell it to them. Like it should be a big warning right as you hit buy, it should stop you with a pop up that warns something like, "Caution, this game is from 2009 and doesn't run on modern PCs, unless they have less than 4 cores and are a literal potato." I know if I saw a message like that, I would have reconsidered my purchase, and a message like that can save many people wasted time and money.

Edit: To add my last words, I am not ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ on the game series, I absolutely love Prototype, but issues like this will prevent others from being able to enjoy how great the game is.

You would have to contact the publishers, all Steam is allowed to do is sell the game as is. They have no control over if it gets fixed, remastered or anything else.

Don't believe users like the one you saw on the Internet. Prototype is an older game and will absolutely need fixes if your computer can't even launch the game.

Valve won't. Activision won't bother as well and the developers were shut down a while back.

file this suggestion under the many others that are similar to:
"have some sort of hardware check before buying a game"

very common, and valve really should be able to do better in steam with the vast amount of information it has about each game's system requirements, each user's hardware, and likely more.

And yet no such tool exists on GOG Galaxy, Ubisoft Connect, Battlenet app, EA Play nor Rockstar Launcher plus the one on Microsoft Store is inaccurate, and there is the simple issue of PC's having a multitude of differing configurations, installed software etc.
