Get rid of retired community moderator badge
Some may be good, but they were bad. And shouldn't have a badge, especially since if people see that badge or scroll through their profile, then they may take their word over anyone else.

So get rid of the retired community moderator badge; they don't need a badge anyway to show for their service as they know what they did.

Maybe just send them a physical badge but get rid of the digital one. or send them an email.

Wow people still attacking the volunteer moderators because they say stuff they don't like.... people will never change.

They were bad in your eyes, most people liked them and miss them because they actually kept this place pretty clear of junk and were far faster at removing trouble makers.

Basically if you didn't keep breaking the rules, you didn't have a problem with them, if you did keep breaking the rules you did have a problem with them.

They took a lot crap at them from people who kept breaking the rules, they earned those badges. They should keep them for sure. They should still be moderators in my book because the forums have only gotten worse since they were retied.

Don't see the point in that. People putting more weight on the words of mods are fooling themselves anyway.

Since it was Valve who added it to our profiles I guess they disagree with you.

And I've grown fond of it.

That would have been cool. Would have hanged it on the wall along the other Steam stuff I have.

They can always reverse it though.

And they should that badge even expired still holds the power. A power which can make people feel like they are wrong even though they are right but since they have the badge then they must be wrong.

:kentconfused: “…. Or send them an email?”

:sheepchomp: What’s your plan to save people from their other fallacious impulses?

People grant power to Steam levels, playtime or achievements. Does Steam needs to get rid of those too?

But the badge holds more power. All it takes is hey look at my badge and then boom they like okay your right didn't realize you were a ex mod.

But anyways you don't need a badge for the service they done. They probably sent a email too which should be enough and if it isn't then just send them a physical one and remove the digital.

I very, very much doubt many people actually think like that. :lunar2019deadpanpig:

Well, the OP has suggested removing levels already, as you've seen...don't worry, I'm sure a thread saying achievements or playtime should be removed is coming soon as well.

At this point I'm getting the impression OP is just enjoying trolling/spamming this board with bad suggestions, perhaps even trying to farm awards.

Lol, my suggestions aren't bad. And no achievements are needed and playtime maybe not though.

I'm pretty sure the OP is troll that was banned a while back and they have returned under a new name/account/backup account and still hold a grudge against the volunteer mods and don't like that they are still around, still answering questions.

Which one, I don't know... there was many banned trolls, none of them for long enough and I just don't remember their names because they were just that easy to forget about and haven't put a thought in about them since they vanished.

You've made it obvious many times that you don't like the volunteer mods, so why would you see their badge and think "Okay, you're right, didn't realise you were an ex-mod?"

 Considering the vast number of people, you’d easily fit the “many” quantifier you’re, for some reason, overlooking.

I hate the corrupted ones yes. Hate em all, no. But they don't need a badge for their services. They could get a email or a physical award and that it.

No digital mubo jumbo as they don't need it. If it's for showing off well they got a email they can show off but if they don't want to reveal personal information then maybe send them a physical award.
