Doubtful. The Ukrainian game event was put together by these groups...

It would depend on if any Russian games group would want to do the same.

But it seems odd you would complain about it in 2023 when this happened last year...

Well you know only one type of opinion is allowed these days... I'm sick of 'woke' propaganda being shoehorned into everything.

I guess you didn't read my post at all.

Go back and do that.

Nice try.

Groups are free to organise such an event. Two groups created the Ukrainian one. Perhaps you can find Russian groups to organise their own event.

Martin could try organizing it …. :rl2shrug: if they’re not too worried about being shoehorned with woke, I guess.

Sure. Right after the North Korean games festival.

If developers want to I'm sure valve would do something like that but if the games support Russian and English maybe.

Or only show up in their region since I don't want to see a game that is strictly Russian being advertised to me or I won't understand it.

But I don't think they would call it Russian festival or Ukraine festival or then people would want English festival, a French festival and so on.

I don't think everyone sees the same games being advertised during events anyways.

Not political. Of course Russian developers could have a problem given the sanctions.

Just out of curiosity, what known games do come from Russia?

They're calling it a "Ukrainian games" festival not because the games have Ukrainian language support (although they do) but because the developers are Ukrainian. So I don't think there is any issue with calling it as such.

Also, the Steam store usually does try to filter out games which are not available in your language or will at least warn you on the game's page that it is not available in your language.

While it does have its origin in Russia, no current version of Tetris was developed or published by a company based in Russia.

There is few from Russia on steam but not release yet. I have one on my wishlist doesn't support English audio but has English subtitles.

Paradox of hope is one as well.
