I have a HUGE idea that could make STEAM a ♥♥♥♥ TONNE of money AND would be AWESOME for gamers. Who do I contact?

I am in Australia and have no idea about working on the Steam CLient from a Dev side but I have a really great idea that could revoutionse the way we game as friends, but could also make Steam ALOT of cash. FOR FREE! All above board, all legal AND actually HELPING the gaming community, yes thats right you heard me HELP the GAMERS! And still make BIG BUCKS! So please, who do I contact. I want to make sure this idea reaches the right ears or it could be stolen and used by competitors which would be DEVASTATING for Steam AND Steam users.

Short version, French appeals courts ruled that people CAN'T resell their digital games. So its not over yet. They can take it to a higher court, not sure if they will or not. All we can do is wait and see.

Its not over till it gets to France's version of the supreme court.

It is a cool idea. Being able to sell digital keys that you purchased on the Steam Marketplace. With Steam gaining a small percentage for processing. But, that will probably never happen.

That ruling was later overturned in Steam's favor later on.

RobotCache you don't even recover the electricity costs of running your PC to mine their nonsense. And I already live in a part of the USA with fairly low electricity. Unless you live in Khazakstan or something (which incidentally rioted a while back because bitcoin miners were milking their electricity causing prices to rise) the RobotCache gives you back less money than even Gamestop would.

Indeed. But, I enjoy the idea of being able to have full ownership over one copy of a game if you purchase it and being able to sell it. But, that's probably why most games are no longer available as physical copies to avoid resale.

Decision has been appealed and is still going in court.

OTOH you have german courts ruling in the opposite direction. (See VZVB vs Valve ruling)
