Short version, French appeals courts ruled that people CAN'T resell their digital games. So its not over yet. They can take it to a higher court, not sure if they will or not. All we can do is wait and see.
Its not over till it gets to France's version of the supreme court.
That ruling was later overturned in Steam's favor later on.
RobotCache you don't even recover the electricity costs of running your PC to mine their nonsense. And I already live in a part of the USA with fairly low electricity. Unless you live in Khazakstan or something (which incidentally rioted a while back because bitcoin miners were milking their electricity causing prices to rise) the RobotCache gives you back less money than even Gamestop would.
Decision has been appealed and is still going in court.
OTOH you have german courts ruling in the opposite direction. (See VZVB vs Valve ruling)
I have to admit I was actually surprised at the store actually launching, because everything I read about them screamed "Investor trap"
