I highly suggest making some kind of sentiment screener and disallow all comments that are rude, insulting, and harassing.
Although, not even sure why I posted this because if Mods aren't clearing the forums up of the crap that is posted there unless its reported, who is actually going to read this?
The automatic scanner is just checking for malicious links. No matter how well you make a scanner, it will not be able to check for context, only what is typed.
Which could then be bypassed regardless once people figure out how to.
As somebody who is a Programmer in Javascript, Python, C#, and Node.js, and as somebody who has actually made bots that detect rude or harassing language, I can safely say you can 100% check for context with a program.
I have a Discord bot I created that does exactly this for my Game Server.
So you're saying you made a bot that is able to detect context of the conversation with 100% accuracy based of text alone?
Literally it makes no sense to want a draconian system that stops people from posting anything that might "Be offensive."
Good grief.
Comments on a forum are literally reportable. Report bad comments.
No need for a literal broken filter system.
